30.06.16 – It is a milestone, as it is the first and only scientific publication on a technology aimed at protecting from electromagnetic radiation.

The European Journal of Integrative Medicine has published the research studies conducted out by the University of Granada Centre for Biomedical Research (Research Group CTS-101: “Intercellular Communications”) on the efficacy of technology developed and patented by Pranan Technologies for neutralising the harmful effects on the body of electromagnetic radiation (mobile phones, Wi-Fi, cordless telephones, telephone antennas).

The acceptance was made possible after several months of analysis, study, and peer review (a method used to validate written work in order to assess its quality, originality, feasibility, and scientific rigor before publication), carried out by the editors and editorial board of the *European Journal of Integrative Medicine*. in which they featured outstanding scientists and University professors at prestigious institutions such as the Georgetown University School of Medicine (USA), the Karolinska Institute (Sweden), the Sydney University of Technology (Australia), or the University of Southampton (UK), among many others.

The biochemical study, conducted by a team of scientists led by Darío Acuña and Germaine Escames, analyzes the indicators most affected by electromagnetic pollution in the body, such as cortisol, melatonin, lipid peroxidation, nitric oxide, pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory cytokines, and glutathione peroxidase.

The results of the analysis of these indicators were conclusive, as explained in the conclusions of the afore-cited article. The scientists state: “We have demonstrated that the use of specific devices (developed by Pranan Technologies) significantly reduced oxidation and the inflammatory state in a group of healthy subjects who were exposed to environmental EMF (electromagnetic fields) and the regular use of mobile phones,” and they go on to add that “our results suggest that the devices tested here may protect against EMF by rectifying harmful EMF forces in order to maintain the body’s health.”

Pranan technology, developed on the basis of nanoparticles (EMF conductors and semiconductors), is also backed by research at the Faculty of Medicine of the Complutense University of Madrid and the Department of Applied Physics of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. It is the only technology that complies with European Directive 2001/95/EC, which ensures that all requirements from the point of view of safety are fulfilled prior to marketing.

NOTE. The article is now available at the DOI (10.1016/j.eujim.2016.06.009). The DOI is an international organization that assigns each scientific publication a unique and permanent identifier, along with its online location through metadata (author, title, publication details, etc.).
